<FLOW III> is interactive immersive media displayed with robots of Boston Dynamics and Hyundai Robotics Lab exhibited in the main exhibition hall of <Hello Robot, Humans, Machines and Design> curated by Hyundai and Bitra Design Museum and held in Hyundai Motor Studio Busan. The real-time generative computer graphics of organically moving numerous icosahedral particles is projected on all surfaces of the exhibit hall include walls and the floor by eleven projectors. The space is scanned three-dimensional to sense the location of visitors in real time by eight depth cameras. Depending on the scanned data, not only did the software create generative music and control lighting surrounding robot, but also organically moving particles in projections avoid visitors and harmonize with them to show the future with the robot.
<FLOW III>는 현대자동차와 비트라 디자인 뮤지엄이 함께 만들고 현대모터스튜디오 부산에서 열린 <헬로 로봇, 인간과 기계 그리고 디자인>의 메인 전시 공간에 보스톤 다이나믹스와 현대자동차 로보틱스랩의 로봇들과 함께 전시된 인터랙티브 이머시브 미디어 작업이다. 11대의 프로젝터로 벽면과 바닥이 곡면으로 부드럽게 연결된 다섯 개의 면에 소프트웨어를 통해 실시간으로 생성된 정이십면체의 파티클이 유기적으로 움직이는 그래픽을 자연스럽게 투영하였다. 8대의 뎁스카메라를 통해 공간을 3차원 스캔하여 관람객의 위치를 실시간으로 센싱한다. 그 값에 따라서 전시장에 흐르는 제너러티브 음악과 로봇을 감싸는 조명이 제어됨과 동시에 파티클들은 유기적으로 이동하며 방문객에게 공간을 내어주며 조화를 이루어 로봇과 함께하는 현대자동차의 미래상을 보여주려 하였다.
